This past week turned out to be a pretty dang good training week even though it started off a little rough. I had set a number of goals I had hoped to accomplish and while I fell short on a couple of them (cross-training didn’t happen and I missed a strength training session too) I’m happy that I managed to meet most of them. That includes getting my 20 mile run done! My running BFP (Buddy, Friend, Partner), Bob, and I knocked out 20 hilly miles yesterday morning. Good company and conversation sure makes the miles fly by!
I’m grateful for a rest day today! The bonus being that it’s also a holiday so I can really relax. I have nothing planned today and it’s raining so I’m *forced* to stay in… I might just stay in my pj’s all day long, play in the kitchen, watch a movie or two, read, and nap! Ha!
Had it been nice today, I was considering a bike ride but I’ll save that for a dry, sunny day. I’m currently reading a book on bicycling. No, I’m not considering a triathlon! ; ) But I would like to find something I can do to cross train.
I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend. Today we pay tribute to all of our service men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country and our freedom. Be thankful today, and everyday, for those who serve for us.
