Oh. My. Gosh.
What a fantastic day! I’ll keep it short because, well, I’m starving and need to get my grub on!
The day began with a super impromptu trail run with my BFP, Bob. As of 10:30 PM last night, I was planning a solo, and slow, 10 or so mile run this morning. Through a funny little chain of events, I found myself running a network of crazy-awesome trails, just a few short miles from home, that I had previously believed were only a myth. I’m still in a state of disbelief! (They appear to be used for mountain biking mainly but we did run into two hikers and another runner.) I was ill prepared, figuring I’d be away from home for about two hours. About three-and-half hours later, totally exhausted and depleted, I stumbled back through my front door.
It was incredible!!!!
Next on my agenda was some kayaking! My good friend Woody invited my daughter and I to go a couple of days ago. We’ve been wanting to kayak desperately for quite some time. I’ve only been kayaking one other time and fell in love immediately so we could not turn down the opportunity when he offered.
I’m slightly sunburned, have a few blisters, know I’m going to be sore tomorrow, and COMPLETELY blissed out from the experience!!!
Given these two amazing adventures today, I’m feeling so grateful for these friends who helped make them happen!! Thank you, Bob and Woody!!
I hope your weekend has been filled with awesomeness too! Have a great night!!
