*Writing your story*

One of the first things I saw when I logged onto Facebook this morning was the following quote and personal commentary of its meaning from a running friend I met this summer. He always shares such insightful, thought-provoking posts and this one really spoke to me this morning:

“A story has no beginning or end: arbitrarily one chooses that moment of experience from which to look back or from which to look ahead.” – Graham Greene

Every day is a possible new beginning. We write our own story and it is up to us how and where we start a new chapter where the story takes us. We can look back on chapters and smile at the experience or we can take the experience and learn from it to write even better chapters. We are our own authors and if we keep looking ahead we can make sure the best chapters are yet to come. If there is a chapter you don’t like, turn the page and use it to take you somewhere amazing. Happy ever afters do exist as we ARE the authors of our lives. Anything is possible and everything can be changed. We can’t rewrite the past but we can write our future. LIVE the best damn story possible, LOVE where it is you are heading and LEARN that every story needs sad chapters to make the happy ones even amazing so keep writing! (Credit: Bryan Cichon)

We are ever evolving and growing. Even as adults. Who I was a year ago even is not the same person I am today. Life experiences, dreams, hopes, goals… they help shape us and make us who we are. Who we are destined to be.

Such a big part of my current chapter is the life that I’ve created around my passion for running… The goals I’ve set and the dreams that have come to fruition… The people who I’ve met along the way who have become so special to me… The work I’ve been able to do coaching… There have been disappointments along the way and there will be in the future. But right now, in this moment, this is a pretty damn good chapter!!

Another part of my story.

Thank you for the inspiration, Bryan, and have a fantastic Tuesday, friends!!
