There is absolutely nothing I’m disappointed about regarding my training last week. The payoff to taking it easy was a really great long-run on Sunday. I cannot lie. I was feeling really apprehensive about it. But much to my surprise, I felt better than I had for any of my previous runs earlier in the week. It has restored my confidence in my training and returned my faith in my ability to do what I’ve set out to do in Boston.
This week is race week! On Sunday, I will run my first race in a little more than 6 months. I can’t even believe I haven’t raced in that long. I love to race! But I know the break is going to pay off in a big way.
I’m modifying my training a little this week. Fewer miles, easy paces… I’ll share more about my goals for my race in an upcoming post but the juice is starting to flow through my veins and I’m getting excited!!!
