Ugh! Last week totally took a turn in a downright dreadful direction. The Helvetia Half Marathon on Saturday was supposed to be my final long training run before the Pacific Crest Half Marathon in, now less than, two weeks. I seriously haven’t run more than 12 miles since the latter part of May, and that was broken down into three runs. EEK!
The good news is that I’m feeling a ton better. I’m also hoping that by taking three days off, compounded with the days that I did run being easy, will result in feeling fresh and ready to tackle some decent training this week… if I can work around a wonky work schedule the next couple of days and 90 degree temperatures.
Life’s lemons, ya know? Just gotta make the best of it. I’m off to run! Happy Monday!!
