It’s pretty clear from my mileage log that I’m still recovering from the bug that kicked my butt last week. While I’ve intentionally kept my runs short and on the easy side, they haven’t all FELT short or on the easy side. I’m still feeling the lingering effects and every effort I made last week to get back to “normal” only reminded me that I have a bit to go before I’m back to 100%.

I’m optimistic that I’ll get my groove back this week, but I’m still planning to play it safe and not push myself by attempting some audacious mileage goal. Seems like a sound plan to me!

  1. Oh girl, we must have been in the same boat. I had the worst stomach bug Monday-Tuesday last week. Today during speed work, I still felt depleted. I hope you are continuing to be on the mend. It certainly takes time.
