After 37 days straight, my run streak ended this past weekend. I had intended to go longer but a weekend backpacking trip, er, tripped me up. It’s all good though. I ended up with 171.5 miles over the 37 days. A few days off of running was nice but I was still active, backpacking around 8 miles with an approximately 35-pound pack in elevation between 8,000 to 10,000 feet. (More about that later!)

At any rate, I knew last week was going to be a light week since Mr. Wasn’t Just the Wine Talking made a quick touch-and-go at home and I wanted to maximize my time with him and because of the backpacking trip planned.

This week will be focused on getting back to the plan and preparing for my trail race coming up in 12 days!
