I’m happy to welcome a new week of training after my whole knee ordeal. In short, there is nothing wrong with my knee. Within a few days of taking it (mostly) easy, there is no pain or discomfort to speak of. The whole thing was an annoying fluke. And as a result, I lost a week of training and am now two weeks behind schedule on building my long run mileage. Ack!
The plan is to dig in hard this week. I’ve got a lot on my plate at the moment but I’m determined to follow through and finish what I started. I still have almost six weeks to train which ultimately means that I’ll be cramming some major mileage in come September. I’m mentally ready though and as long as my body doesn’t develop any more freak ailments, it should be a solid month for training.
